31.01.18 Prime Minister Jüri Ratas visit in Ireland

On the 31 of January, Estonian Prime Minister Jüri Ratas met with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. The meeting focused on the future of European Union and both Heads of Government agreed that one of the most important questions in the Union is finding a consensus on EU´s long term budget. The Prime Ministers confirmed that Estonia and Ireland are both very interested in developing their digital capabilities. Prime Minister Ratas introduced Estonian e-residency project and the developments in providing 5G internet. Mr. Ratas made a speech at The Institute of International and European Affairs and met with the President of Ireland HE Mr Michael D. Higgins.
