27.09.2007
On Sunday, 8th of July 2007, the Estonian Embassy, together with all the other representatives of our EU neighbours and general public, celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome in Farmleigh "Family Day".

The EU village, where the Estonian Embassy was displaying different aspects of Estonian history, culture and culinary background was indeed a day to remember for everyone. During the day piles of tourism and information materials on Estonia were handed out with multimedia program showing Estonian nature and landscape, Estonian Song and Dance Festival tradition and Estonian award winning animated cartoon “Lotte from Gadgetville”. At the same time also Estonian food and drinks were offered which turned out to be very popular among the visitors.

The Estonian Embassy also ran a drawing competition for children with 66 drawings qualifying for the competition. The youngest participant was 3 years old and the oldest 11 years. After long discussions 5 winners have been nominated. These are:
Elise (3 years old), Lara and Triona (6 years old), Emma (7 years) and Romie (8 years).
